Holy wiches! It’s only Tuesday, and already we’ve opened two stores this week. Today the doors open on the new Katy, Texas location (23730 Westheimer Pkwy., Ste. C). It’s the 15th Which Wich in the greater Houston area and the 11th for SMART Restaurant Group. Says TJ Schier, SMART Restaurant Group president: “We’re excited to bring the Which Wich vibe to Katy and to support the schools and the community. We are committed to providing great wiches and creating an experience that will leave our guests saying, ‘Wow!’” Coming soon: Oklahoma City and Bloomington, Indiana. Stay tuned to the blog for details.
Dear Grub Street LA. We know you were anxiously awaiting the Which Wich opening in Sawtelle. Well, the wait is over, because the LA restaurant (2212 Sawtelle Blvd. at W. Olympic Blvd.) opens its doors today. We remember your comment about a vastly more sophisticated menu than its predecessor in that space (so true, so true). But what’s even more exciting is the LA Which Wich is offering some new menu items, including the option to order your wich in a bowl. It’s the first new store in the Which Wich chain to offer a new menu. Nice! Owner Scott Myers intends to offer mayor specials on Foursquare, too. So prepare to check in when you check out the newest sandwich craze to hit LA.
And, hey, we don’t blame them one bit. With a menu “vastly more sophisticated” than the previous tenant, Quizno’s, folks in Sawtelle can look forward to Which Wich’s superior sandwich experience. Keep your eyes glued to this blog—or find us on Facebook or Twitter—for the latest news on the Sawtelle opening next month. (photo: Tatiana Arbogast/losangeles.grubstreet.com)
Someone please bring us a frosty Coca-Cola, because we’re parched after the summer we’ve had. And we’re not talking about the heat! There have been so many openings in so little time! The newest Which Wich has opened in Fullerton, California (2720 Nutwood Ave., Ste. B), right by Cal State—and just in time for school to start. (Ah, youth. Someone remind us: why were we in such a rush to get out of college again?) Please pay them a visit if you’re in the ‘hood. They’re just dying to make you a hot wich and a cold milkshake.
Which Wich Superior Sandwiches opened this past weekend in Alpharetta, Georgia. As you can see from this photo, they had what we in the biz like to call a grand opening! If you're in the area, please stop by for your favorite hot wich—with avocado, of course! (Isn't everything better with avocado? Or is that bacon? Or maybe both.) The new store is located at 5250 Windward Pkwy., Ste. 111, and it's open daily from 11 am-10 pm.
